Capable of singing and rapping in English, Spanish, Italian, French, Sufi, and Urdu, Bobby is adept at rock, funk rock, rock en espanol, rap, hip-hop, pop, new age, and world music styles.
As a recording artist, Bobby's sound consists of soaring, rock lyric tenor vocals slicing through a heavy wall of English, Spanish, and Eastern sounds--the combination of which is exotic, tribal, intoxicating, and hard driving--which makes for a danceable, rock-rap groove built from multilingual rock, rock en espanol, electronica, funk, and world music.
As a lead vocalist on stage, this vocal technician with powerhouse pipes gives over to the moment as if it were his very last performance--a swan-song style that bounces between passion and fury, sprinkled with an unexpected touch of acrobatics, martial arts, and dance--a combination he jokingly describes as "pelvic, primal, exhausted on arrival."
As a backing vocalist or in a chorale, Bobby's style compliments without distracting from the principals. Heavily experienced in technical production, Bobby is comfortable in any production environment. He is skilled at structuring his performances based on what production values sell best in a given medium (film, TV, amphitheatre, night club, et. al.). His acting experience allows him to quickly zero in on the emotion-intention dynamic of any song, jingle, or scene and deliver it in accordance with the medium.
Bobby has arranged and/or sung leads and backgrounds on live and studio dates for such artists as: Hotwire (RCA/BMG), produced by Dave Jerden (Jane's Addiction, Alice In Chains, the Offspring); Phil Chenale (Tori Amos, Jane's Addiction); Marta Woodhull (Artist/Producer, Author of "Singing For A Living"); Singer-Songwriter Chris Varosy; and alternative rock bands Sound Of Souls and Ultrawide, to name a few. Bobby's vocals can be heard on an Aerosmith sound-alike track on the commercially-released CD, "Party Tyme Karaoke--Pop Male," by SyberSound Records.
